Thom Swift
Multi award-winning folk-roots-blues singer, songwriter, storyteller and finger-style guitarist, Thom Swift is one of Atlantic Canada’s finest musicians.
His latest album, The Legend of Roy Blackwas nominated for a 2017 East Coast Music Award for Folk Recording of the Year and two 2016 Music Nova Scotia Awards, including Solo Recording of the Year and Americana Recording of the Year. It was widely played on CBC Radio and rose to #2 ‘most played’ on Stingray Music’s Folk-Roots music channel.
With over twenty-five years experience recording and performing across Canada, the United States and Europe, Thom shoots straight to the point with his writing. His voice and music is unique and powerful.
He has toured and shared the stage with noted performers such as Rosanne Cash, John Hiatt, Bill Frisell, John Mayall, and Guy Davis, has co-written songs with Dave Gunning, Matt Andersen, JP Cormier and he is co-founder of award-winning New Brunswick folk-blues-jazz group, Hot Toddy Trio, who have released nine albums and performed at prestigious music festivals worldwide.
Previous solo recordings include, The Legend of Roy Black (2017), The Fortunate Few (2013), Blue Sky Day (2010), Into The Dirt (2017), and the children’s recording titled, The Wood Buffalo Youth Song Project (2011) with Keith Mullins and Steven Bowers.
